Professor Akif Gadjiev has contributed to the development of the weighted approximation of continuous and unbounded functions by the sequences of linear positive operators; Bernstein type inequalities in the space of entire functions of several variables in terms of its indicators; differential properties of symbols of multidimensional singular integrals; oscillatory multipliers of spherical harmonic expansions; weighted estimates of multidimensional singular integrals generated by the generalized shift operators; Riesz and Bessel potentials and parabolic potentials, generated by the generalized shift operators.

Professor Akif Gadjiev has had 27 PhD Students. Currently, Professor Akif Gadjiev is a director of Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences
